Our Farm Products

We offer a vari­ety of prod­ucts that are all grown here on the farm using sus­tain­able meth­ods. Cur­rently avail­able for Fall 2011:

Chicken Eggs $3.50 a dozen
Vol­ume Dis­count: 3 dozen/$10

We know that happy hens lay bet­ter eggs — so our flock is pro­vided with lots of space to roam and dis­cover greens, bugs, worms, in addi­tion to the layer ration that we pro­vide to them. While it is pos­si­ble to just tell your chick­ens to fend for them­selves most of the year (and we have found that many peo­ple do just that), we believe that for the most bal­anced diet, birds should have a vari­ety of foods. In order to insure that they are receiv­ing the proper amounts of pro­tein, cal­cium, and other nec­es­sary nutri­ents, we buy a high qual­ity layer ration that they have access to 24/7 in addi­tion to their pas­ture.  This results in eggs that we often find dif­fi­cult to keep in stock — our cus­tomers tell us that once they’ve had these eggs, they can’t go back to eat­ing eggs from the store! These are gen­er­ally avail­able year-round, but there are nat­ural cycles of fluc­tu­a­tion, so please check with us before stop­ping by to make sure we have what you need!

Duck Eggs $8.00 a dozen

Our ducks are also a happy flock, just like our chick­ens. They have their own sep­a­rate space, which includes green pas­ture and lit­tle pools, which they enjoy immensely. Duck eggs are richer and larger than chicken eggs, and make great “dip­pin’ eggs” if you like them over easy — the yolk just stands up and demands to get soaked into some toast! Bak­ers and pas­try chefs are also par­tial to duck eggs because they make their baked goods richer and fluffier. These are avail­able sea­son­ally — please con­tact us for availability.

Half & Half
$5.75 a dozen

We offer a dozen eggs con­sist­ing of half chicken and half duck. Are you curi­ous about try­ing duck eggs, but don’t want to com­mit to a full dozen? Or, do you want to do some bak­ing with your eggs, but not all of them? Try a half & half dozen!
