Great Success!

I couldn’t wait to share the news – all three girls gobbled down a 20 ounce bottle each, even our fussy gal. She was very interested in the other two eating and anxiously awaited her turn.  She sat in my lap, sort of awkwardly, but she wanted to be there, and it was obvious that she was very hungry!

Also, she now has a name – Winter. Inspired not only by the season during which she was born, but also, because she has such a graceful look about her, I am reminded of the character Winter Celchu, from the Star Wars galaxy. (My nerdery is practically boundless, in case you were wondering.)

As for the last little girl without a name, I am still waiting for it to manifest. While her coloring does remind me of a Tauntaun (also of Star Wars fame), that’s just not doing right by her. Her name needs to reflect her sprightly antics and acrobatics she was showing off this morning. I won’t be at all surprised if my brain parses something out around 3:13 a.m. and wakes me up with a”Eureka!” moment, so perhaps tomorrow I can report some news on that front.

More frogs have heard the spring alarm going off, and so I’m sitting here at the dining room table with the window cracked so that I can hear their chorus, which increases in volume every night. Life in the country is wondrous.
