Lucky Goats

Did you hear about the story of the Sacramento area couple who won $2 million on a scratch off ticket? They are going to use the money to make improvements to their goat rescue. Those are some lucky goats!

I’d like to think ours are pretty well-off, too. I certainly consider us lucky to have them! They’ve quickly become a part of our family, as our son will gleefully attest:

Our weekend will include lawn-mowing, continuation of our coop construction, a visit from family (yay!) and we hope to squeeze in a quick visit to our friends farm that is just a few minutes away. That is where Blossom (formerly Winter) now lives, and so I’d like to see her, AND one of their sheep just gave birth to a lamb yesterday, so you know I’ll be wanting to see that little baby. So you may not hear from me until toward the end of the weekend. Have a great one, everyone, and enjoy the sunshine whenever you can!

I am enjoying your blog. I found you via Twitter #chickens. I live in Yorktown, VA, but my husband’s family live in Port Huron, MI. I am somewhat familiar with your area. Great farm, that is our dream to homestead as well. Thanks!!

      Hi Beth!
I’m so glad you are enjoying the blog! Homesteading is something I had dreamed of doing for a long time, and I’m so fortunate that my husband loves it too. Port Huron is only a couple of hours from us, so if you are ever visiting his family and would like to visit the farm, please get in touch, we’d be happy to have you out!
      Cheers,
      Trase
